James J. Kennedy |
Over 20 years experience in derivatives trading, trading management and risk management. Prior to founding KV1, Mr. Kennedy served as Senior Managing Director (i.e., COO) for Fuji Capital Markets Corp. (FCMC), directing the firm to become a global leader in interest-rate swaps with 150 professionals working across three continents. FCMC returned trading profits for 80 continuous months, a 50% return on capital for three years running (often holding more than 5% of open interest in G-7 short-rate futures) and started winning peer-nominated awards after only two years from start-up. Prior to FCMC, Mr. Kennedy led swaps & options dealing for Chemical Bank NY when it too was ranked #1 in short-term swaps. He has also worked on the floors of the Chicago Mercantile and Mid-American Exchanges. Graduated from Yale with a degree in Latin American History, Mr. Kennedy also serves on the board of Union Center National Bank.

Steve Koomar |
Over 16 years experience in various capacities of fixed-income and FX sales, trading, and portfolio management. Most recently, Mr. Koomar served as Managing Director for Prudential Investment Managements global bond department. He managed global bond portfolios for pension fund, insurance, and mutual fund clients. Prior to Prudential, Mr. Koomar had joined Goldman Sachs & Co as a fixed-income derivatives specialist. In addition to a sales role, he published research titled Delivery Options on Bond Futures which was republished in The Handbook of Derivative Instruments. Mr. Koomar moved to Tokyo for Goldman, where he served as manager of derivative sales and then as manager of JGB proprietary trading. After returning to the US with Goldman, Mr. Koomar worked in fixed income and FX proprietary trading. Graduated from University of Illinois and also received an MBA from The University of Texas Graduate School of Business.

Francesco Vitelli |
Over 15 years experience with technology development, integration and business modeling. Prior to founding KV1, Mr. Vitelli served as a Senior Technologist for Fuji Capital Markets Corp. developing leading edge technologies for real-time environments, emphasizing precision business modeling from trading floor through to middle and back-office. Prior to Fuji Capital Markets, consulted with a number of Financial sector clients in both New York and London, leveraging their technology investments. Graduated from Imperial College, London, with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. |
